Since January 2019, Qianxun Bio has continuously conducted detection of Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, Mycoplasma and Chlamydia in cats with upper respiratory tract diseases, mainly in Guangzhou and surrounding cities.
Recently, the virus isolation team successfully isolated a strain of Feline Herpesvirus with obvious lesions and high titer, which has the following potential value:
1. Potential candidate vaccine strain, but still requires substantial work.
2. Quality control material for the development of detection reagents and detection methods. For nucleic acid detection products, it can be used directly after nucleic acid extraction; for antigen test strip products, it can be used after inactivation.
3. A high-quality antigen for monoclonal antibody immunization preparation, requiring large-scale culture and purification by sucrose gradient centrifugation before use.
4. A coating antigen for antibody detection products, requiring large-scale culture and purification.
5. Potential value for publishing an academic paper, requiring whole-genome sequencing and phylogenetic tree analysis.
